About Us

Electrical Engineering is the Heart of whole Engineering discipline. Nowadays, we see Electronics playing an important role in the implementation and control of Electrical Machines. Keeping this in mind, The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) was established in the year 2009.

Electrical engineers design a variety of parts, equipment and systems that use electrical power to operate. They may design small electrical devices as well as large electrical systems, such as electric motors, manufacturing equipment and electric distribution systems for utility companies. Electrical engineers are involved with design from foundation to finishing point.

He explained about non-conventional energy resource development and conservation essential needs in today’s trend and mentioned about advanced technologies employed in various Steel Manufacturing process.

Prof. S.K.Elangovan, Secretary of the Kavery Educational Trust, presidedover the function Thiru.A.Anbalagan, Chairman, Thiru. R.Ramanathan & Correspondent honored the Chief Guest. Dr. T.K.Kannan, Principal of the Kavery College of Engineering, felicitated the event. In this program about 185 Students from more than 40 Engg. Colleges presented the paper in different technical points of industrial need. Mr.S.Tamilchelvan,HOD/EEE has delivered the vote of thanks.

Workshop
Two Days Workshop on 21.07.2012 & 23.07.2012

Microcontroller application in the electrical field area covered by this workshop. Embedded coding is clearly explained both theoretically as well Practically to adjust the parameters. He elaborated the various concepts involved for the control process in Power Electronics to maintain the desired torque for various loads. With the help of controller chip students designed basic control for various drives.

Technical Symposium
One Day National Level "Technical Symposium" on 23rd August 2012

Innovations being the necessity for almost in every sphere activities. Technologies exploring the magnitude of challenges and synchronize the developments with the ever-growing fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Soft switching operation of the power inverter has attracted much attention in recent decades, so students focus the soft switching techniques from that losses and harmonics to be considerably reduced.

First prediction of Machine parameter of Plant Parameter Necessary to know the status and processed with advanced Technologies. So many Techniques available, one of the Best methods for analyzing motor parameter is finite-element methods (FEMs). From this method you can compute the performance of electrical machines in both steady states as well as under transient conditions.

Focus more on Non-renewable energy sources to get energy without polluting environment. I think its most powerful tool we can use from Nature. Power demand and generated power not coincided always. In order to meet the requirements concentrate wind, solar power plant. Major area now growing in electrical field is Special machines, In that Permanent Magnet play wide role, The recent research has indicated that Permanent magnet motor drives capable of producing low inductance with high stability for Effective control of Drives.
