Anti Ragging

ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE

According to the Honourable Supreme Court of India judgment, UGC regulations, The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, The Indian Nursing Council & The Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council have reiterated the ban on ragging of students in Educational Institutions. The students are informed very strictly not to involve in any kind of ragging.

Ragging in any form whether by words spoken or written or an act in the form of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness of other student, indulging in rowdy or in disciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course & which has the effect of causing or generating sense of shame of embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student. Disciplinary action will be taken on those involve in ragging type of activities.

Health Committee

In order to place an emphasis on the health of the students, the health committee was initiated in TKNC. It takes care of the health needs of the students by conducting health check-up, maintenance of health records and availing of sick leave for students who are in need. Management has provided Hepatitis-B vaccine for all the students free of cost.

Parents Teachers Association Committee

Parents teachers associations (P.T.A) is a formal organization of parents and teachers that is formed to get parents involved in their children’s academic as well as to help and reform the school system. The main focus of any PTA is to work for the prosperity of the students. PTA’s provide parents and teachers a mutual platform to work for the betterment of the college, teaching and everything that influences the physical and intellectual growth of a student. PTA meeting helps both parents and teachers to involve and discuss and solve any particular issues they are facing.

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The national service scheme (NSS) is a central sector scheme of Government of India under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It aims to develop the personality of students through community service and provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th class of schools at +2 board level and students youth of technical institutions, graduate & post graduate at colleges and university level of India to take part in various government-led community services activities & programmes.

The primary objective is to develop a sense of socially civic responsibility of the student youth through voluntary community service. “Education through Service” is the purpose of the NSS.

Anti Ragging

The anti ragging squad conducts regular and surprise visits to the hostels, library, food court, sport facilities and ensure freshers comfort. Freshers should submit anti ragging undertaking form.

Library

Our institute has a rich collection of more than 3037 text and reference books of current nursing , competitive exam books & General titles and subscribes national and international journals.

Laboratories

The spacious lab is well equipped with mannequins like patient stimulators, CPR dummies, Adult sized patient dummies with movable limbs and replaceable parts for demonstrating all basic procedures.
