Diploma Nursing
The Diploma in Nursing programme includes a 3 year course and one year training as a junior staff nurse.
Diploma in Nursing focuses on imparting candidates with the nuances of the stream and enabling them with skills to become competent nurses.
- The eligibility criteria for Diploma in Nursing is to qualify the 10+2 examination in any relevant stream with an aggregate of 50% marks.
- The program establishes grounds for research, in examining the cost related to the service, quality of patient care, policy analysis and delivery of health services.
- The program is divided into both classroom study and fieldwork offering students a realistic approach and knowledge of the field in depth.
- To encourage and help the students to participate in various health related programmers in hospitals and community.
- To help the students to recognize the need for continue learning for their personal and professional development.
- Medium of instruction –English will be the medium of instruction for all the subjects.
- Candidates should have passed +2 or any other Equivalent examination and should have taken science subjects.
- Candidates belonging to all categories except SC/ST should have obtained 60% marks together in the science subjects alone.
- Physical fitness must be ensure by a medical fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner.
- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December.
- The curriculum and the syllabus for the course shall be as prescribed by The TN Dr MGR Medical University and Indian nursing council from time to time.
- Medium of instruction –English will be the medium of instruction for all the subjects.

Anti Ragging
The anti ragging squad conducts regular and surprise visits to the hostels, library, food court, sport facilities and ensure freshers comfort. Freshers should submit anti ragging undertaking form.

Our institute has a rich collection of more than 3037 text and reference books of current nursing , competitive exam books& General titles and subscribes national and international journals.
LABORATORIES
The spacious lab is well equipped with mannequins like patient stimulators, CPR dummies, Adult sized patient dummies with movable limbs and replaceable parts for demonstrating all basic procedures.
