B.Sc Nursing

BSc in Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate course that focuses on providing detailed nursing to medical aspirants.

Candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 exams from a recognised board and are from the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their compulsory subjects are eligible to apply.

To instill and develop the aptitude for nursing , to provide necessary knowledge and skills among the students.

To develop skills in recognizing and interpreting physical mental and emotional manife3station of illness and be able to plan individual nursing care to patients based on their individual needs using nursing process.

To practice and inculcate ethical value and moral principals in their personal and professional life involved in the practice of nursing.

To encourage and help the students to participate in various health related programmers in hospitals and community.

To help the students to recognize the need for continue learning for their personal and professional development.

Medium of instruction –English will be the medium of instruction for all the subjects.

Basic requirements for admission

Candidates belonging to all categories except SC/ST should have obtained 35% marks together in the science subjects alone.

Medical certificate

Physical fitness must be ensure by a medical fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner.

Age limits

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December.

Curriculum

The curriculum and the syllabus for the course shall be as prescribed by The TAMILNADU Dr MGR Medical University and Indian nursing council from time to time.

Medium of instruction –English will be the medium of instruction for all the subjects.

Anti Ragging

The anti ragging squad conducts regular and surprise visits to the hostels, library, food court, sport facilities and ensure freshers comfort. Freshers should submit anti ragging undertaking form.

Library

Our institute has a rich collection of more than 3037 text and reference books of current nursing , competitive exam books & General titles and subscribes national and international journals.

Laboratories

The spacious lab is well equipped with mannequins like patient stimulators, CPR dummies, Adult sized patient dummies with movable limbs and replaceable parts for demonstrating all basic procedures.
